Playable Races

As we slowly made our way through each and every region, we kept creating more and more races to eventually add here to the Colabrian System Race Page. Some would say we gave ourselves loads of work, we like to think that we just encouraged ourselves to be better at mental maths and random statistic generation… Either way, we’re pretty proud of how it’s turned out!

How Races Work

Each race has a few unique traits that offer perks to their gameplay as well as some starting stat bonuses that can shape the features you begin with in your campaign! Please note that these, as well as Classes, are still being playtested, so if you have any issues or comments please let us know! There are also still many races to add so not all links are currently working… So stay tuned for even more content soon!

Optional Half-Race Rules

If you would like to play a Half-Race you are more than welcome to if your GM agrees! To play as a Half-Race you must choose first which is your primary race (aka which race had the biggest effect on your DNA), you take their Primary Traits and Starting Stat at +5. Then you decide on your other Half, take their Starting Stat as +3 instead of +5, and take the first Trait on their Primary Traits list. You gain the languages of both, and the median Movement, Age and Height of each. Here is a completely absurd but technically possible example:

A Half-Teppywig/Half-Jakarak

Teppywig: Nimbleness +5, Healing Heart, Rose Tinted Eyes.

Jakarak: Endurance +3, Survival Instincts.

Movement: 10m (8m Teppywig, 12m Jakarak).

Languages: Teppywig, Common, Jakr.
