The People’s Republic of Prain
The former Empire of Prain, now People’s Republic of Prain, is a largely human civilisation based in the Cerulean Coast. A while before the Great Divide, it was the seat of an Empire that crossed the waters to the Western Continent and thus spanned nearly half of the world. It spread humans far and wide and was very powerful until the King pushed for more land and attacked the Queendom of Lun, only for the Olovoans to join in the fight against them which made them lose so many men and women that their territories split apart and eventually a civil war broke out making the People of Prain into a Republic instead, overthrowing the monarchy. Now the People’s Republic of Prain spans only the Cerulean Coast and its previous territories on the Western Continent have become their own civilisations. Each town / city in the Republic elects a Governor who is their voice to national addresses and debates that are hosted in the capital, affecting things like laws. Due to its powerful past, the citizens of Prain are still known for their love of luxury and military pride.
Cities, Towns and Villages of Prain
Cities
Capital City: Drayholt’s Rest - Built on and named after the land claim of the Ealdorman who first led the revolt against the Empire in the Cerulean Coast.
Ruined City: The Silent Seat - The former capital and seat of the Empire before the revolt, the city remains but abandoned and falling into disrepair. Those who need to travel between The Crossroads and Meadowport have even made a path that circumvents the city to avoid having to step foot in the barren walls.
Towns
Forestbreach - A small town at the border of the northern Frostbite Forests used to harvest lumber for the rest of the republic. They commonly end up in skirmishes with the Tree Ents there.
Tidesreach - A large ocean-trading town on the Celeste Coast which allows for trade along the Panthor Channel along the path that Tide treads every year.
Meadowport - A large ocean-trading town on the Floral Coast that facilitates trade to and from Fort Varryn and Tradesmouth and the Bluescale Meadows across the Silver Straits.
Morespite - Sitting on the banks of the Martyrs’ Mere across the river from the edges of the Hunters Playground, Morespite is a very transitional town where not many people live for more than a few years at a time.
Protector’s Perch - This large fishing town is a big contributor to the diets of the citizens of Prain, it also links to the military port of Fort Rayus. It isn’t the prettiest town but it is one of the most important.
Tanners Reach - This town in the centre of the Hunters Playground has many rich second homes and places where more wealthy people can hunt from when the mood strikes them, as well as hunters registered by the republic to keep up with the demand for meat.
Tidesmouth -
