The Olovoan Empire
The Olovoan Empire is run by religious leaders who are indoctrinated when they are born on the Days of Fading Fire (Solar Eclipse) as they have more connections to their god and are therefore more powerful. There are three Sel Surnar to represent the three states of being, life, death and in limbo
Beside the religious leaders lie several feudal lords who run the day to day in consultation with the Sel Surnar un Sumrak Hram. There are seven Sifs one for each major towns bar the capitol. One Is the Sif of Thillister-Kaldor, now a town in ruins in the Divide.
Those who have sons born on days of fading fire are given large compensation for their achievement of having a child born to such wondrous divine power. These people are made noble and given title as parents of the Distroda un Artar

Day of Fading Fire - On days with a solar eclipse. These days are erratic and random as it is done by the Divines when chosen to. They happen normally twice a year.

[Religion]
The Dusk Elves of the Olovoan Empire are a highly religious society, run by three Sel Surnar (High Priests) who command Sifs (Lords) from Sumrak Haram to run the cities and regions on their behalf.
Due to the nature of Dusk Elves being created by Divine Artar, they are inevitebly bound to worship him. Their temple is built into the side of the mountain where Artar is believed to rest. The Sel Surnar reside here with the other men born on the Days of Fading Fire who are trained to become beacons of faith in Ya Lovo Liipath (The Preservers of Faith).
