The Cerulean Coast
Drawn by most as the centre of most maps, the Cerulean Coast is the birthplace of Humans and seat of the long since demolished Empire of Prain (now Peoples Republic of Prain). It boasts swathes of arable farmland, perfect for expanding civilisations, and thanks to it’s relatively narrow land passages it has easy access to trade with both the Eastern and Western continent. To the South-Eastern corner of the Cerulean Coast just past the mountains lies the Reudos Kridi, and to the South lies a river that borders the Great Divide, connecting the Eastern and Western Coasts. Unlike most other continents, the Cerulean Coast doesn’t have many predators that could rival the Humans that inhibit the lands, their only real opposition forming in the Frostbite Forests to the North-East where Living Trees made their home and have frequent run-ins with lumber yards and the folks who run them. This has given the region an air of safety that has allowed the rapid growth of Human civilisation.
The Southern forests of the Cerulean Coast are known as the Hunters Playground, aptly named after the common noble pastime that this region is known to support. Due to the popularity of hunting in the Peoples Republic, this region is classed as protected by the Council of Governors and thus no unnecessary lumber operations are allowed to operate, leaving the area naturally wild. Because of this, there are a great many prey species here that benefit from the relative safety of the woodland, especially as predator species that did exist here have been culled to such low numbers that they are no longer considered a threat to humans and animals alike. To the North-West lie the Frostbite Forests which are a stark contrast to the safe warmth of the Playground. This frigid landscape is often used to harvest lumber for construction within the Republic, but such activity has prompted conflict with the natural Living Trees that call the area home. These large creatures appear as most to be just normal trees until they begin moving and have taken many lives with their mimicry, protecting their fellow woodland beings from the axes and attitudes of Humans. Otherwise, the large fields that cover most of the rest of the region are very fertile and perfect for the growth of crops of all kinds.
