The Cerulean Coast
The echoes of a dead Empire reverborate through the lands of the Cerulean Coast, richochetting off of the mountains and trees only to be drowned out by the chorus of lives in the new founded Republic of Prain. The creaking forms of the Oaken add noise to the frostbitten forests, and haunting screams murmer from the mouths of caves. Long since ended battlefields whisper to the now fertile fields that rest on their bones, willing themselves to be remembered by a nation determined to forge onward without them. Laughter and arrows finding their marks push up from the forests turned playgrounds for the wealthy as the transient movement of a thousand footfalls march from it’s edge. The old land gives space for the new powers that rule it, waiting for the next dreamer to make it’s mark.
Do you dare to be one of them? To weave stories into stone and bring new meaning to forgotten histories. Be the mark. Be one of those who writes the years to come in this place, to paint it’s future with canvas and quill. Change is coming. Will you be a part of it? Or will you carve lines into the maps of old and stand strong against the tide?
Geography and Climate
The Cerulean Coast occupies a varied and geographically important location making up the majority of the Central Continent. The North of the region is fridged and part of it lacks any significant variations of flora or fauna, but the other is covered by a large woodland which sustains life through more fertile soils developed from hundreds of years of natural ecological turnover. The mountains that carve the North from the rest of the region and make up Rebellions Ridge are not absent of life either. Various species live within caves and tunnels both natural and man-made. Fertile fields surround much of the central region, the Plains of Aerowfell and Fields of Avail once held the scenes of great battles, but now grow plants anew from the bodies of the fallen. Coastlines and large lakes provide bountiful harvests of fish, pearls and other water-found items. To the South the region comes to an end in the Hunters Playground where many animals play prey to the noble sport of hunting from Tanners Reach, boasting a wild and unruly forest kept natural by Republic’s Keepers.

Overview
Drawn by most as the centre of most maps, the Cerulean Coast is the birthplace of Humans and seat of the long since demolished Empire of Prain (now Peoples Republic of Prain). It boasts swathes of arable farmland, perfect for expanding civilisations, and thanks to it’s relatively narrow land passages it has easy access to trade with both the Eastern and Western continent. To the South-Eastern corner of the Cerulean Coast just past the mountains lies the Reudos Kridi, and to the South lies a river that borders the Great Divide, connecting the Eastern and Western Coasts. Unlike most other continents, the Cerulean Coast doesn’t have many predators that could rival the Humans that inhibit the lands, their only real opposition forming in the Frostbite Forests to the North-East where Oaken made their home and have frequent run-ins with lumber yards and the folks who run them. This has given the region an air of safety that has allowed the rapid growth of Human civilisation.
The Hunters Playground
The Southern forests of the Cerulean Coast are known as the Hunters Playground, aptly named after the common noble pastime that this region is known to support. Due to the popularity of hunting in the Peoples Republic, this region is classed as protected by the Council of Governors and thus no unnecessary lumber operations are allowed to operate, leaving the area naturally wild. Because of this, there are a great many prey species here that benefit from the relative safety of the woodland, especially as predator species that do exist here have been culled to such low numbers that they are considered a low threat to humans and animals alike. Animals like the mystic Gaduae have horns worth great amounts to the right buyer, and the Frizt provides good armour parts when caught and harvested.
Do not become complacent in these lands though, just because the predator population is reduced and controlled to the best ability of the Republic’s Keepers, they are no less dangerous than they were in their prime. Creatures like the Freghoul have shown themselves to be near impossible to control, and the Orijaack always seem to find a way back to dangerous numbers every few years.
Indigenous Inhabitants
This region is the birthplace of Humans, from which they spread to the world through trade and an old Empire.
