Nochlun
Art By PiggyParty3
βAnd as he painted the night sky stars, drops of their paint fell to the earth. From those drops sprouted blossoms that grew into beautiful flowers, blooming and glowing once a year in celebration of the day they transformed, or in memory of the day they died from the stars they once were. When their seeds blow away in the wind they form a sea of starlight, allowing those nearby to pass through and imagine themselves walking across the starry sky.β
- A legend of the Nochlun by PiggyParty3
The Nochlun is similar to that of a dandelion that only blooms one night a year. When in bloom it glows faintly, leaving the grasslands they grow on to look like blankets of stars. This happens at the end of spring, marking the turn into summer. People pick them to make wishes or prayers into the dusk, believing them to have a connection of sorts to the Father of Dusk. Any picked by non-Dusk Elven people will not be used in potion making, as it is seen to taint the seeds and make them impure.
In potions, Nochlun can be used to make Potions of Luck, Potions of Radiance, and Potions of Necrosis.
